Welcome to Cave a vins

ABOUT US

Bertrand & Nicholas Wine Merchants was created back in early 2006 by Bertrand and
Nicholas.
Nicholas left the business in September 2007. In 2009, Cave a Vins was created to put our wines and what we are about on the internet.

We are a fully independent operation with no ties to any suppliers or vignerons. We import many wines directly from the vineyards; thus cutting the middle man lion's
share and offer you quality at a competitive price.

All vignerons produce wines that are different in style, reflect their personality and we
strongly feel that one of the primary aim of a Caviste is to offer his customers the chance to discover different styles of wines that are made for example in Cahors,
Madiran, but, more importantly, sell wines that he likes, not just been told it is good or margins are better than the others. We are always here to listen to any needs you, the customer may have and we will do our best to satisfy you.
Our continuous aim is to provide you with quality wines at the best possible price
All our wines are stored either at EHD London Bonded warehouses or in our depot in Reading to guaranty you a product in prime condition.

Vineyard in Cahors

Fed up with all those mass produced “wines” full of chemicals... Then welcome to Bertrand and Nicholas. We are a small Independent Wine Merchants based in Reading, Berkshire.

Walk passes our doors and you will discover a range of true wines, made by
passionate people and, of course, somebody who is equally passionate about what he sells: me.

After mainstream, branded and featuring on the top ten sellers, then, I am afraid, I am wasting your time and our local well stocked convenience store (s) (we have a few more coming down that way, too) will happily cater all your required needs. At the question of why mostly French wines? Simple, put aside the main wine producing regions in France and, now, you can embark on a true wine discovery: small producers, wines of character, odd grape varieties. And this is what it is all about. Bring something different for you, the customer, to discover, try and enjoy. And, really and truly, no point for a French to try selling Italian or Spanish wines, simply don’t work (trust me on that).
