Real Ales, Bieres de Garde and French ciders

While we always did bottled lagers and Real Ales from the start, I certainly started to really take a more serious interest in Real Ales and lagers during the last few months. The range of Real Ales just keeps growing and growing as I am now reaching a selection of over 40 Ales.

Biere de Garde Sans Culottes £4.99 (75cl bottle)

Blonde beer sur lies. A light and golden beer with a creaamy head, fresh yeast and malt with a crisp real lager flavour. ABV 7%

 

Biere de Garde La Triboulette £4.59 (75cl bottle)

Traditionally made lager style beer. Bottle conditioned. ABV 5%

 

Biere de Garde Abbaye de Vaucelles £5.59 (75cl bottle)

This blonde beer is flavoursome but with a soft, subtle finish. And I know the Abbaye de Vaucelles very well as I enjoyed many happy holidays there as my aunty lived there.

A wheat beer made in the traditional style. Excellent in the summer with a wedge of lemon.

 

La Choulette Ambree £5.99 (75cl bottle)

An amber-dark beer. Beautiful clean taste with lots of malt.

La Choulette Brune £5.99 (75cl bottle)

Deep, rich brown beer that has been made from highly roasted malt, giving it a chocolatey, malty flavour. Reminiscent of the full-bodied, rich milds which were traditionally made in the North of England.
