After over three years without featuring any wines from Down Under we have taken the plunge and now feature three great hand crafted wines that compliment our New World range of wines. One, the revered Highbank from Coonawarra and a newly labeled Honeysuckle Rise Chardonnay and Viognier from Adelaide Hills. We have remained with our principals of sourcing from small, quality driven producers and not from mechanical, Frankestein and mass marketeers in featuring these wine for your pure enjoyment

HONNEYSUCKLE RISE ADELAIDE HILLS 2006 CHARDONNAY £13.79

This unwooded Chardonnay comes from the best patches of vines from two blocks at Gumeracha Vineyard.Melon dew, rock-melon and stone fruit flavours aromatically lift out of the glass. Well balanced and fresh fruit driven style, it dances on your palate with a zesty acidity and a clean fruit finish. While it can be enjoyed now, it will also age well for a few year. Enjoy with light pork, chicken or fish dishes.

HONEYSUCKLE RISE ADELAIDE HILLS 2007 VIOGNIER £13.79

A delicate and clean style Viognier produced using eco-friendly methods in Kenton Hills. Floral orange blossom, white peach and apricot flavours intermingle on a silk texture palate finishing with a clean acidity. The perfect wine to delicate culinary foods such as sushi, sashimi and shelfish.

HIGHBANK COONAWARRA BLEND 2004 HIGHBANK  £30.99

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is handcrafted using organic methods. Very reminescent of a left bank Bordeaux blend, this elegant wine has aromas of rich dark red fruit, oak, earth pepper and dark chocolate. It is full bodied, concentrated and intense with flavours of blackberry, raspberry and blackurrant with firm and fine tannins. Already drinking well now but will improve for many years.
